About me

My name is Hans Dijk. Maybe you have met me -or seen me- at shows like Medica, AACC or Analytica. I have more than two decades of international sales experience in the life science and diagnostics markets.

I have worked for various companies in the immunodiagnostics business: Schleicher & Schuell, Whatman International and GE Healthcare, now all gathered in a company called Cytiva. The common denominator of these companies: they all produce(d) products like filterpaper, glass fiber and nitrocellulose membrane. These products are used by the producers of rapid diagnostic tests (also called IVD tests). The most known rapid diagnostic test is the pregnancy test (the best known one is "Clearblue" of Alere, now Abbott).

My previous employer before I started working for Surfix Diagnostics in The Netherlands was Berlin-based company Scienion (now BICO), a market-leading company in the field of microarrays and equipment for dispensing ultra-low volumes of liquid.
